“The best thing i ever did when i moved to Brighton was get in touch with Rachel and James at Bfit. They were so friendly and welcoming, I was definitely sold after the free trial session. 

James and Rachel are amazing motivators and manage to make working out feel fun with varied programmes, with lots of laughs and the lure of the game of fitball. 

There is something about exercising outdoors with a sea view – in all weathers – from beautiful sunshine, through occasional driving rain and crisp snow.
I was amazed how much my fitness improved in such a short space of time, with all the knock-on health benefits. Rachel’s nutritional advice is so helpful in tandem with the exercise. An added bonus was meeting lots of really nice and interesting people from all walks of life.

“Boot Camp Rules. I have been going since June last year. It is the only way I can consistently be motivated to get out and do some exercise that I genuinely enjoy. I have always gone running and been a member at the gym but Boot Camp is much more fun and interesting. Its always different. I find being out in the fresh air by the sea, and being part of a group is heaps better than being in the gym on your own, running on a machine staring at a wall. The exercises always vary and it really helps keep me fit for the other sports I play. It has even introduced me to the entirely new sport of “FitBall”, a game that genuinely involves everyone of all abilities and fitness levels.

Everyone is really friendly and James/Rachel are always on hand to push you that little bit further without sounding like an Army Major on steroids.  All round good times, well worth every penny!!”

“I started to go to ‘bfit bootcamp’ about two months ago after seeing James’s orange flag. I started by going to an early morning session I enjoyed it that much I now do Wednesday and Friday mornings which is my favorite time to exercise. Whatever the weather being outside makes you feel great! I run regularly but it’s good to add variety. As every session is different my all round fitness has improved as has the strength in my upper body.  They are great at getting you motivated and encouraging everyone to exercise just that little bit harder, whilst keeping an eye on you and making sure you are exercising correctly. As there are number of sessions on different days and times there must be one to suit everybody. There are even some ladies only sessions. “I met James Bartram whilst running round Hove Lawns. Previously, I’d only ever trained on my own: running, swimming, cycling, and the occasional few halfhearted press-ups. Whilst I felt reasonably fit, by the first couple of Bootcamp sessions two things became clear: firstly, training on your own is pretty boring. Secondly, having someone who knows what they’re doing pushing you is much more effective than relying on your own motivation.

Bfit bootcamp is a fun and friendly environment that gets you fit quickly! James keeps class sizes to a point where he can keep an eye on individual needs, which allows people of differing fitness levels to train together. There’s also a huge range of different exercises so no two training sessions are ever the same. Above all, James is a great motivator so if you’re the sort of person who needs that extra push to really work yourself that bit harder then bfit bootcamp is ideal.

“I decided to join in with bfit bootcamp one evening after walking past a couple of times previously. I had watched James training with a group of people and they all looked like they were working hard but having fun!
I recently left the Fire Service and started an office job which, if I am honest, meant that my fitness went down hill and I lost all of my enthusiasm to train as hard as I had been doing over the past several years. “I really enjoy the fact that we are training outside & not in the gym. The fresh air makes it much more fun. I enjoy the variety of exercises that James uses & that he concentrates on all of us & makes sure we are doing the exercises properly. No session is ever the same, he changes stuff around, always introducing new things. I love the boxing! James is very motivating, when I first started bootcamp I would give up on exercises when they became a little hard, with his support & enthusiasm I now work much harder & get so much more out of the session & with a constant smile on my face. I went to the first few sessions with a friend as I didn’t want to start on my own. My friend is now in Australia for 6 weeks. I shall still be doing bootcamp as the other people are all very nice.
